Women’s Medical Center at Brookwood Baptist Named Favorite Neonatal Intensive Care Unit by Birmingham Parent Magazine

BIRMINGHAM, ALA. - Women’s Medical Center at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center today was recognized by Birmingham Parent magazine’s 13^th Annual Family Favorites Awards. Women’s Medical Center was selected by the readers of Birmingham Parent as Favorite Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

The July edition of Birmingham Parent highlights the 2021 Family Favorites, which was reader-driven. Birmingham Parent readers nominated all entrants in each category and selected the winners by popular vote.

“We are honored to once again be recognized the Birmingham community as a favorite when it comes to women’s healthcare,” stated Brookwood Baptist Medical Center Women’s Medical Services Administrative Director, Shelly Addison, MSN, RN. “To be recognized for the high quality care we provide to babies requiring specialized medical care in our Level III NICU is a testament to the dedication and compassionate care of our physicians, nurses and staff.” 

According to the publication, Birmingham Parent hosts this annual award for the benefit of its readers as parents often rely on friends and family to tell them what is best, and the annual Family Favorites awards – the longest running contest of this type in the Birmingham area - is not only a great referral system, but also a great way to honor the best of the best!
