Joint Commission Perinatal Care Certification

We are the proud to be the first hospital in Alabama to receive the Joint Commission Perinatal Care Certification, which demonstrates our commitment to providing quality care with excellent outcomes for our mothers and babies. Rest assured that our multidisciplinary medical team is deeply committed to providing the gold standard of perinatal care for our patients.

Better Bama Babies Designation

We are proud to be the first Better Bama Babies designated hospital in the State by the Alabama Breastfeeding Committee, which recognizes our commitment to assist in improving breastfeeding rates in Alabama through sustained “best practices” in maternity care.

Be The Match^® Cord Blood Registry Participant

The Women’s Center at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center is the only hospital in the Birmingham metro to partner with Be The Match^® cord blood donation registry. This service brings hope to those diagnosed with blood cancers, like leukemia and lymphoma and provides a way for those celebrating one of life’s greatest joys, the birth of a baby, to choose to benefit others by donating their cord blood. Since our partnership with Be The Match began in 2014, four potentially lifesaving matches have occurred as a result of our cord blood donations.
